Yale's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yale is a shy boy with a gentle heart and a quiet determination to grow. He watches the world carefully, especially the “cool kids” like his sister, and you can see how much he wants to be brave enough to join in. Every day, he’s trying a little harder. Recently, Yale has started venturing out to play with his sister and foster siblings. While he may hang back at first, once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality begins to shine. He’s learning important life lessons too — like how mealtime works best when you don’t show up last! With patience and encouragement, he’s catching on. One of Yale’s favorite things is being held by his foster mom while she whispers, “You are special, you are smart, you are loved.” He leans into those moments, soaking up reassurance and affection. It’s clear that with love and consistency, his confidence will continue to bloom. With the right person or family — someone patient, kind, and willing to let him grow at his own pace — Yale will become an incredibly loyal and amazing companion. He just needs someone to believe in him the way he’s learning to believe in himself. Could that someone be you?All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.

Learn more about our Adoption Information here and fill out an application here.
