Xena

Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue
Meow meet Xena! She’s a beautiful grey and white tabby whose name was chosen for a reason. She truly is a warrior. Xena was originally trapped at a cat colony with her siblings when she was just a young kitten. She had a severely infected eye and was in such poor condition that there were concerns about whether she would survive the surgery she needed. She needed spayed and have her eye removed, and no one knew what the outcome would be. Her foster named her Xena after the warrior she saw in this tiny girl - and she was right. Xena survived, healed, and learned to trust. She discovered that people could be kind and that she could be safe. Sadly, through no fault of her own and because of a change in circumstances, Xena has found herself back at the rescue. It’s been confusing for her, and right now she is timid and guarded. After everything she has experienced, it’s understandable that she’s protecting that precious little heart of hers. But every now and then, Xena lets her guard down, and when she does, you can still see the sweet, gentle girl who has been there all along. She hasn’t lost her softness - she’s just waiting to feel safe enough to share it again. Xena has already fought so hard for her life. Now she deserves a quiet, patient forever home where she can finally stop being a warrior and simply be a beloved cat!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!

Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.
