Wynter's Story
Meet Wynter, a 3 year old snow-white male beauty who is working on trust!
Wynter’s story hasn’t been an easy one. This stunning boy came from a past where kindness wasn’t always shown to him — and it left its mark. But under that cautious exterior is a heart that wants to trust again.

At just 3 years old, Wynter has already shown us how far love and patience can go. When he first arrived, fear ruled his world. Now, we’re starting to see little sparks of the gentle, curious soul underneath. He enjoys quiet company, gets along with most other cats, and absolutely adores his treats (though he can get a little protective when they’re on the line — who can blame him after all he’s been through?).

Give him a treat, and he’ll gently take it from your hand — sometimes even give your fingers a soft lick in thanks. It’s these small, tender moments that remind us that Wynter wants to connect.

He’s currently on prozac for his anxiety, and he’s made wonderful progress. But Wynter is still a work in progress — he’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who’s okay with earning trust one paw-step at a time. Someone who can see beyond the swats and hisses to the brave little heart beneath them.

Wynter isn’t the cat who will melt into your lap right away. But for the person willing to put in the time, his trust — once earned — will be the most beautiful gift. Could you be the one to show Wynter that love can be safe?

Interested in adopting Wynter? Follow the directions below!
--------
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Following the instructions and filling out this application rather than emailing us will get you a quicker response.

Please also consider fostering as an alternative to adoption. To learn more, go to:
http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/

Adoption Fee (effective 3/15/24)
< 12 mos.
$375
1-4 yrs
$300
5-9 yrs.
$250
10+ yrs.
$125

These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats.
