WYLIE's Story

I came to the shelter with an allergic flare that affected the fur around my nose and ears. The vet put me on medication for both my fur and my ears. Changed my diet to no chicken products. I started to look and feel better. The vet said that my ears are healing but will take a little more time. Shelter staff felt that I was a patient long enough and needed to enjoy the experience of having a home and family again. I am 3 years old, a gentle soul. I need a home where I am the only pet. Older children would be ok. A quiet home where I can continue to heal would be purrfect. Taunton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
**PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET PETS AT THE SHELTER. 508-822-1463** Adopt a "best friend" for life! Please remember that dogs and cats of all ages need and deserve happiness, love, and a home. In return, they will love you unconditionally for all of your years together. We adopt to New England Residents only and require current/past veterinarian references. An application is REQUIRED to adopt an animal. Vet references will be checked, as well as references for those who rent. Adoption of an animal will be based on APPROVED applications only. We do not accept debit/credit cards. Payment must be check or money order with proper ID or cash. If submitting an application for a dog, please email it to rdanielczyk@taunton-ma.gov or gasman6637@icloud.com Dogs are $200.00 and cats are $165.00 (kittens up to 6 months are $185.00). This price includes the spay/neuter, rabies shot, and other required vaccinations.
