Wyatt's Story

Wyatt is a large, handsome tabby with soft, wispy fur, a giant heart, and a résumé that includes overcoming truly impressive odds. When he first arrived at the shelter, Wyatt was dealing with one of the worst eye infections our veterinary team had ever seen (40 years of experience—no small claim to fame). He was uncomfortable, confused, and having a very rough time.

Enter months of dedicated care, gentle burrito-wrapping, daily ointments, and a whole lot of patience. Wyatt took it all like a champ. Today, his eye is well managed and he simply needs a daily antiviral medication to keep everything in check.

And here’s the thing: once you meet Wyatt, the “extra care” part fades into the background. Wyatt is no ordinary cat. He’s big and gorgeous, wonderfully affectionate, and proudly lives the *big ol’ lug* lifestyle. He loves laps (yes, he will try to fit), adores sunny windowsills, and has never met a friend—human or animal—that he didn’t like. He gets along fabulously with other pets and would be thrilled to join whatever cozy crew you’ve got at home.

Wyatt is proof that sometimes the cats who need a tiny bit extra give you so much more in return. If you’re looking for a laid-back, loving companion with a soft coat and an even softer heart, Wyatt is ready to lumber his way right into your life.
