Wrein Marie

Fans of the Inspector Gamache mystery series by Louise Penny are likely familiar with the name Reine Marie, the Inspector's wife. The name Reine Marie translates from French as "Queen Mary". My name, Wrein Marie, is a variation of that name. I was estimated to be around 7 months old when I came to the shelter after I was found on a farm, and I went to stay in a foster home. I am a small girl who was rarely seen in my foster home for quite a while. The foster kittens treated me like a surrogate mother and tried to nurse on me. I was shy for a long time, but I've gotten braver now! I no longer hide. I let my foster mom hold me on her lap, and I am fine with that. Because I can be reserved and cautious in unfamiliar places, it may take me some time to get used to a new home, so please don't be concerned if I hide or avoid contact for a while. And while I am comfortable in my foster home, I am still shy and have not been around other people much, especially children. I would probably do best in a home with adults only, or perhaps older children. If you're patient, I will come out to for pets and lap time. I may one day even claim my title as "Queen Mary," Wrein Marie!

Adoption fee $150 + microchip fee $30 + tax
