Meet Wooten! Wooten came to us as a former outside cat. His caretakers were moving away, and hated the idea of leaving him to fend for himself. To be honest, he probably wouldn't do very well on his own - he is a very lazy boy who prefers to just kick back and chill. His considerable size definitely came from hand-outs, not his hunting prowess. Anyone with a mustache as dapper as his isn't going to be caught dead eating mice. He's a distinguished gentleman, and he knows it.<br/><br/>Wooten is a friendly, mustachioed tuxedo cat who enjoys playtime, good food, and above all, snuggling up on a couch with the people he loves. Though this little gentleman's charming facial hair may suggest an inclination toward the adventures depicted in 19th-century European novels, Wooten far prefers the comforts of domestic life: sunny windows with outdoor views, regular meals, toys that spin, and being petted and brushed.<br/><br/>At the center, he loved getting attention on adoption day (when he was awake). He would wiggle his booty around for scritches. In his foster home, he is the cuddliest, snuggliest cat. He always wants to be with his chosen human on his couch or in bed. <br/><br/>Wooten does have an issue with anxiety. Changes in routine, like his humans going on vacation or having home renovation projects, can stress him out and lead to him hiding or having looser stools. It can also make him more territorial with other cats in the home (normally they get along just fine).<br/><br/>Wooten's ideal home would be quiet and with a firm routine. He would do best without children or dogs. He can co-exist with cats most of the time, but when he gets stressed, he can be more aggressive.<br/><br/>Wooten is estimated to be 7 years old as of October 2026. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
