Wonder's Story
Have you noticed some cats are super annoying at night when all you want them to do is cuddle up close enough to pet but not so much you can’t move? Wonder is the premier “Bed Cat”. Once she has been properly fed, gotten her zoomies out, and used the provided litter box, she is a wonderful cat to share a good night’s sleep with. She has two main modes: curled up at the foot of the bed, or curled up by your head (not touching) so you can pet her. Sometimes she gets greedy and likes to face you and knead the pillow you hold at night. However, if you move or toss and turn like me (her foster) then she is quick to retreat back to her position near your head or feet. I think she’s perfect.

Other than being the premier “Bed Cat”, Wonder lives up to her name (after the famous Wonder Bread) in other ways. She entered the rescue with 6 (six) kittens she cared for well, and now that they’re getting almost as big as her, she’s over it. They’re kind of annoying, I can’t blame her. She still enjoys playing with them like she’s a kitten herself sometimes, though. She won’t give other cats or kittens the time of day and would rather stalk them like it’s a fun game. That usually isn’t reciprocated. So, instead, she prefers to do zoomies and climb up any cat furniture like it's a race against herself. She came from an indoor/outdoor home, so her energy comes out through play when she’s kept inside. She’s not picky about her toys either, which makes her extremely easy to entertain or provide her the tools to do so herself.

Wonder would eat herself to death if she could. She’s tried. Now she gets two portioned meals twice a day and likes to remind me often. Her meow carries well and is easy to recognize. She mostly does it to remind people she doesn’t currently have food in her mouth, but she also does the cute trills and chirps after she’s finally full and ready to snuggle. She likes to push her face under my arm or hand and nudge me to be pet. She has no problem asking for her needs, that’s for sure. I always know how she’s feeling, which makes communication with her really easy. Like how she’s repeatedly told me how scary she thinks the dogs are in my house. She won’t throw the first punch but she’s ready to do so if need be. She’s learning they’re not so scary and not putting her guard up as much now.

With motherhood behind her and the chance to be the young cat she is, Wonder is ready to find a home that loves her unconditionally. Wonder’s only condition is that she is fed adequately, are you up to the task?
