Woc FIV+'s Story

Woc is a very shy 6-year-old cat who is FIV+, but don’t let that worry you—cats with FIV can live long, happy lives with proper care. Woc is a sensitive soul who prefers the comfort of his cozy covered bed, where he feels safest.

In his foster home, Woc spent much of his time tucked away in the closet, slowly learning the rhythms of daily life and that pets could be comforting. He doesn’t ask for much—just a calm space, regular meals, and a patient human who understands that not every cat shows love in traditional ways.

Woc is what we like to call a “spirit cat.” He will bring quiet companionship into your home, even if he doesn’t seek out cuddles or constant attention. He does well with other cats and may blossom more in a home with a confident feline friend to show him that the world isn’t so scary.

If you have a big heart for the shy and overlooked, Woc could be the perfect gentle companion for you. Fill out an application for him here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FMAS/Cat

If you want to meet Woc in person, the shelter has visiting hours on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon until 4 pm.
