Winter

Someone's had a birthday! I know you all know about Squirt's birthday, right? Well, MY birthday was August 19, and I turned a year old! I'm Winter, a lovely black and white girl who came to Paws and Claws from a state that doesn't have typical wintry weather, but it was winter when I arrived. Why am I still here? I am basically a very shy girl, and it takes me a while to feel comfortable with new people. Once I am familiar with someone and feel safe, I love being petted and will purr. I can sometimes feel intimidated by other cats. I like chasing a wand toy with another kitty who's just a little older than I am, Licorice. We have fun! I hang out with a girl called Shirl, too, but when my room becomes crowded especially when new cats arrive I feel safest high up on the shelves. If you are patient, yet persistent in spending quiet time with me, we can build a trusting relationship over time. Seasons change. Love grows.
