Winter's Story

Meet Winter -- quiet as snowfall, steady as the seasons. ❄️🤍

At just one year old, Winter carries herself like an old soul. Calm. Grounded. Ever present. She doesn't demand attention -- she simply is -- a steady heartbeat in the room, a peaceful presence at your feet.

Winter's story began on the side of US 41, where she was found abandoned with her babies. When rescuers arrived, she didn't run. She came right to them, as if she knew help had finally arrived. Since that day, she has been a faithful and reliable companion to her foster -- gentle, observant, and quietly devoted.

Winter loves her favorite cozy spots and is happiest simply being near her person. She will greet you at the door each day, padding over to welcome you home. She'll settle nearby, keeping you company in her calm, grounding way. She isn't a couch or bed cat just yet -- we're helping her learn that it's safe -- and she doesn't cuddle at this time. But her presence is constant and meaningful. She is the kind of cat who shares space beautifully, who fills a room without overwhelming it.

She does wonderfully with other cats, but she prefers a home without dogs or small children. Winter thrives in peace and predictability -- a soft, quiet home where relaxation is the daily rhythm. She also travels exceptionally well in a crate, making vet visits or travel smooth and stress-free.

Winter comes fully ready for her forever home:
/️ Spayed
/️ Microchipped
/️ Fully vaccinated
/️ FIV/FELV negative
/️ Flea/tick treated
/️ Dewormed

The best home for Winter is one that understands the beauty of quiet companionship. She doesn't need constant entertainment -- she simply needs someone who appreciates the gentle comfort of having a loyal soul nearby.

If your home is a place of calm evenings, soft lighting, and peaceful routines, Winter may be the steady little season your heart has been waiting for. ❄️💕

The adoption process starts by having the potential adopter fill out our adoption questionnaire. This questionnaire helps us ensure that the cat the adopter is selecting is the best fit for their family. It covers household information, information about other pets, and their preferences regarding what kind of cat they are looking for. Once we find a potential match, we schedule a meeting for the prospective adopter to meet the cat. If it is a good match and the adopter passes the background checks, the adopter fills out and agrees to the adoption contract. The adopter then takes the cat home with a copy of their veterinary records and any upcoming appointments.
