Winston-(bk)'s Story
Winston was abandoned along the side of a busy road at about 3 months of age. He was extremely skittish, but starving - which made it possible to befriend him using food and treats. He used a heated shelter on a patio for a few weeks until finally being brought indoors. He immediately got along great with other cats in the home, but would run & hide when approached by humans. He is getting much better about this, but still gets nervous in new situations and will still move out of your reach when approached. HOWEVER, he will jump right up onto your lap if you have food!!! Silly boy. He is definitely food motivated and loves his treats. We are currently trying to help him get used to being in a carrier and meeting new people. He has a tender heart and although he is a rough and tumble, wrestling, running, jumping, climbing high-energy kitty, when he finally poops out, he is purry and gentle and sweet. He wraps his arms around his foster mom's neck and rubs against her face (when she can manage to get a hold of him - LOL). Winston's adopter will need to earn his trust and will need to have a home where he can start out in a smaller space and slowly branch out - otherwise he could disappear or door dash if he's scared. He needs at least one feline playmate (he does well in a group) and if you have a catio or secure outdoor enclosure that is where he would be happiest.

Winston is black with a tiny white dot on his chest and a white smudge near his lower abdomen. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and has been blood tested and treated for fleas/parasites. His adoption fee is $175.
