Winston's Story

Winson is a rescue favorite. Where to begin? Win was found emaciated and with an upper respiratory infection in the middle of a busy road at approximately 5 weeks old with his black coat bleached brown by the sun. He quickly won over all who met him with his love of bird watching and big, confident personality. After weeks of medicine and breathing treatments, he was cleared for neuter. That's when it happened. Winny crashed during his neuter and was out for almost 10 mins resulting in an ischemic stroke. The next week was touch and go but Win fought his way through with the help of 2 round-the-clock foster mommas. After a few weeks Winston returned to his original foster momma where he continued his rehab including overcoming post-stroke spinning, difficulties with depth perception, and, after 2 months, relearning the litter box. He has little quirks like being able to jump the highest his foster has seen, but only when he wants in somewhere he's not supposed to be lol He's also known to give claw-free baps on the knee when he wants food or scritches. He loves fighting with the crisper and is known for his dislike of cushy beds, preferring the weirdest sleeping positions.
Win is very much a miracle and although he's a little different, he still has his big confident personality. Winston absolutely loves wrestling with the other foster kittens in his foster momma's care altho adult kitties can be less accepting that he's different. Winston can also get what his momma calls the "spooks" where he runs around slinking, not always with a clear cause. This usually resolves quickly but big changes like trips to the vet can take longer.
Winston is a wonderful and loving little miracle of a dude who deserves the very best human who loves and embraces his sweet, beautiful differences.

All kittens under 4 months old must be adopted in pairs unless the adopter already has another cat at home.
Apply here- https://
savingsagerescue.org/adoption-
application/
