Winona's Story
Hi… I’m Winona!
A beautiful tabby-and-white girl with a very distinguished half mustache… I like to think it adds character.

I’ll be honest with you right from the start. When I first arrived here, I was very afraid. I was feral, unsure of people, and trust did not come easily to me. It took a lot of time, patience, love… and yes, food (very important detail) to help me realize that humans can be kind. Because of that, my future family will need to understand that I won’t adjust overnight. I will hide at first, observe quietly, and move at my own pace. But if you give me the time I need, I promise it’s worth it.

Speaking of food… did I mention I love food? I’m a big girl with a big appreciation for yummy things. Visiting hours are my favorite time of day because that’s when the lickable treats come out. If you’re looking for a way to win my heart, treats are definitely the key.

Once I trust you, I truly enjoy being petted and will soak up every bit of affection. I gently walk up and politely ask for pets… no demands here, just a soft little request. I’m not a fan of being held right now, but who knows what the future holds with patience and love.

I adore rolling around in sunny spots, snuggling up with my cat friends, playing with catnip toys, and enjoying a good treat session. I do best in a home with another cat, as feline companionship makes me feel safe and confident.

I’ve also recently had a dental, so my teeth are now squeaky clean and feeling great!

You can come visit me daily from 1–5 pm, including holidays, to see if we’re meant to be. I may not be the type to rush into your arms, but if you’re willing to let me bloom in my own time, I just might quietly steal your heart.

I have excellent litter box habits. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, FIV&FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.

If you are interested in adopting Winona, please come visit… we are open daily from 1-5pm (including holidays)… we need to meet you in person! If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@furballcats.com or message us on Facebook: Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary.
