Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie!

Winnie is a 5-year-old black locket cat. She is shy and sassy at first but if you give her just a little bit of time, she will be the sweetest, most talkative and affectionate cat ever. Before you know it, she will be in your lap making air biscuits and following you around demanding that you reach down so she can stand up and pet herself with your hand. If she trusts you, she will let you pick her up (she loves being cradled like a baby) and she loves to cuddle and groom her favorite people. If you want the cheat code to earn her trust, give her some love with her brush and she won't be able to contain herself. She will start following and headbutting you soon after.

She came from a foster with multiple cats, and she has spent a lot of her life with another cat, so after an adjustment period she should be okay around other cats. She doesn't have much experience with small children. She also does not have much experience with dogs, so I am not sure how well she would fit with them, but she may not be too fond if they are in her face a lot before she gets to know them, as she likes her personal space.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application available at www.rescueahart.org/adopt/cat-application. The application will put you in touch with a HART volunteer.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.
