Wink’s story is heartbreakingly common, yet her spirit is anything but ordinary. She was found with an eye injury one that had clearly been left untreated for far too long. Despite her pain, Wink remained gentle and trusting.<br/><br/>She has since been seen by a veterinarian and is currently on antibiotics to treat inflammation and a mild infection in her eye. If her condition doesn’t improve, she may need a more extensive procedure to remove the damaged tissue and permanently close her eye. While that sounds drastic, we have no doubt Wink will make a full recovery. Her injury doesn’t hold her back she doesn’t see herself as handicapped, and neither do we.<br/><br/>What makes Wink truly special is her heart. She hasn’t let her past suffering dull her capacity for love. She’s incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate. Wink adores snuggles and melts into the arms of anyone who shows her kindness.<br/><br/>Now, Wink is searching for her forever home a place where she’ll be safe, healthy, and deeply loved for the rest of her life.
