Wilson FIV+'s Story
Wilson is a handsome orange short-haired gentleman who's learning just how wonderful indoor life can be. An adult male, Wilson is sweet, playful, and calm, with a shy side that shows up when he first meets new people. Give him a little time (and maybe a nap!), and he quickly warms up into a very affectionate boy who loves attention, petting, and being brushed.

Once comfortable, Wilson enjoys being picked up and held, soaking in all the love he missed while living outdoors. He's a nice balance of active and chill-happy to bat around wand toys or chase balls in track toys, then settle down for cuddles. He does great with other cats and would love a feline companion; he's especially hoping to be adopted with his brother, Wayne, whom he's very bonded with.

Wilson is fully litter trained and prefers a quiet home with older, cat-savvy kids who will respect his gentle nature. He hasn't met dogs in rescue, so his reaction to them is unknown.

Wilson is FIV positive, but he's healthy, at a good weight, and has a beautiful coat. FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives indoors, just like any other cat. After struggling to survive outside, Wilson is embracing his new indoor life and is ready for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Currently fostered with: Wayne, Johan and Ozzy.

I am fixed, microchipped, FIV positive, /FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

Wilson is FIV+ but that doesn't slow them down! They can still safely live with other cats as long as they gets along with them and can live a normal, healthy life! We just suggest twice a year exams with your regular vet to ensure they stay in tip top shape. FIV can lower a cat's immune system so things like kitty colds can affect them more than a FIV negative cat. But overall there is not "extra" day to day care needed for a FIV positive kitty like Wilson!

Adoption Fee: $275 + applicable tax

MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "Apply for Adoption".
