He’s the kind of kitty who appreciates a respectful introduction—offer your hand, let him decide when to say hello, and you’ll see his gentle, affectionate side come out.<br/><br/>Wilson enjoys petting, but on his terms. He can get a little overstimulated with too much or full-body handling, so he’s looking for someone who understands feline boundaries and can read his "okay, that’s enough" signals. Once he feels safe, he’ll happily rub against you and ask for attention in his own sweet way.<br/><br/>Because he’s sensitive to fast movements and heavy-handed interactions, Wilson would be happiest in a home with adults or older, cat-savvy teens who can give him the calm, predictable environment he deserves.<br/><br/>As a lucky member of our Home for the Holidays foster program, Wilson was able to spend time with a family for the last several weeks! This is what they had to say: "Wilson is a sweet boy that needs a couple of weeks to get to know his new family. He is very social and chatty and always likes to be in the same room as his human friends. He gets along well with other cats and is very treat motivated. He especially loves his wet food. He likes head pets, but only on his terms. He will give a friendly swat if it is not a good time.
