Willy

Willy's owner is ill and can no longer care for him. She wrote:<br/>Willy is a Main Coon cat. He is 13 years old and is the gentliest creature I have ever known. From day one, he was a true gentle spirit. Intuitive to others ways beyond belief, and always so calm & loving. Not an aggressive or mean bone in his body. It's just not in Willy's nature.<br/>He has a gentle and soft meow and is often curious about what others are doing. He's a very sociable cat and likes to be where there are voices or movement. He's very loving with others - likes to sit on laps. He loves to be rubbed and scratched under his chin. He loves his ears rubbed and to be brushed, but gently on his tummy. When hungry, he will stand by his bowl or the refrigerator and just wait, like a gentlemen. Willy loves cold water and eats readily available cat foods, both canned and dry daily. And Willy loves his cat treats too! Just shake the bag and he comes running! Willy likes to be talked to. He will make a sweet meow sound and just wants a kind response. <br/>Willy can be playful and loves organic cat nip and chasing his laser toy! In quieter moments Willy loves to sit in the window and enjoy the fresh air and breeze.<br/>He enjoys kids, but can take his time to warm up. He can by shy, but when he gets to know you, he is your best friend. He is wonderful with all ages of adults too and loves his 87 years "young" grandmother (my Mom)!<br/>Willy is well trained in his litter box and is very clean and tidy about himself, always "taking a wash" as we say.<br/>Willy has lived with one other cat in his life - a Siamese. He was the new kid in the house and was always kind to his older cat house mate. He is just so easy going by nature. A precious soul and wonderful companion. He truly has so much to give to others and would be wonderful in a family that will treat him with lots of love and tenderness. We always raised him with soft hands and gentle voices. He even knows the word "no". I have used it since he was a baby and he responds every time, with a firm, soft "no". I truly believe he wants to be the best friend he can be and he always has been. If there ever was a cat to be a peace and love ambassador, an ambassador of good will, it would be Willy.

He enjoys kids, but can take his time to warm up. He can by shy, but when he gets to know you, he is your best friend. He is wonderful with all ages of adults too and loves his 87 years "young" grandmother (my Mom)!
