Willie's Story

Willie came to us in a condition no animal should ever have to endure. When he arrived, one of his testicles was literally hanging from his body, an injury our veterinarian believed he had been living with for at least a week. Despite the pain, infection, and discomfort, Willie kept going.

He received emergency veterinary care and was safely neutered. Now that the worst is behind him, we're getting to see the sweet boy underneath all that hurt.

Willie does have a couple of medical hurdles. He is FIV positive and heartworm positive, so his adopter will need to understand that he may require some extra care and veterinary follow-up. But those diagnoses do not mean Willie doesn't deserve-or can't have-a wonderful life.

After everything this handsome guy survived on his own, we're hoping the next chapter is very different: a warm bed, good food, gentle hands, and a family who will never let him hurt alone again.

Willie has already fought incredibly hard for his second chance.

Now he just needs someone to give it to him.
