Wiley's Story

Meet Wiley (short for Wile E Coyote)! Wiley was found as a stray at the beginning of April with a severe eye infection in both eyes. He was treated with antibiotics, and while his eyes have improved, he has permanent scarring on both eyes, and can only partially see out of one eye.

He's been in foster care since April, and lives with 2 other cats and 2 large dogs. He LOVES other cats and is obsessed with one of the dogs as well. He's at that crazy kitten stage, so is very bite-y and uses his claws too much. He is very sweet and loves to be petted, but needs to learn that hands aren't toys!

Wiley must go to a home with a person that is experienced with cats with vision impairment issues or is willing to work with him and understand his needs. He may need additional medical care for his eyes in the future should they worsen, so any adopter must be willing to take on the cost of a potential future surgery, or at minimum, the cost of an opthamologist visit. Wiley would ideally go to a home with another cat, as he needs someone to show him the ropes around a new home and is very playful, so a cat buddy would help wear him out.

For more information, please email his foster mom at jessie@acctphilly.org.
