Wilbur (lovable, gentle, playful)'s Story

Handsome flame point Wilbur is a shy guy at first, but once he gets to know you, you’ll see he is funny, playful and lovable. He will follow you around the house just to get some cuddles and belly rubs, and sometimes he’ll even have a conversation with you. He’s also a master of cat naps! He needs time to get to know new people, but it won't take long before his sweet personality shines through!

Wilbur has a congenital spinal abnormality, but other than that, he has always been healthy and full of energy. As a kitten, he taught himself how to walk, and now nothing slows him down! There isn't anything that needs to be done for him to have a happy life–the specialist said, and we agree, he's perfect just the way he is! He will need some accommodations like a cat tree to help him climb and a low-sided litter box he doesn’t have to climb into. He can manage a couple of steps, but he would do best in a home that is level/one story. Wilbur would also be happiest with a kitty companion. If you don’t already have one, he grew up with the other adoptable HOBC cats, and would love to bring one of his lifelong friends home with him!

Cats with special needs like Wilbur’s require more consideration than the average cat, and we want to ensure that you and Wilbur will be an excellent match! When you’re ready, please press the “More About Us” button to find our adoption application! Fill out the PDF and email it to us at houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com. (Due to past inquiries, PetFinder requests alone will not be considered.) From there, we will contact you for a phone interview, and to possibly arrange a meet-and-greet after that.
