Meet Wilbur! He is a very friendly and welcoming cat. Sociable is another great word. Several months ago, he showed up at our shelter door very lethargic and skinny. We often assume in these cases that the animal is sick, but after extensive vet tests, including a blood panel run by another lab, our vets discovered that he had no terrible disease or disorder. He simply was starving. We never know how an animal comes to be this way or how long they have been outside. Well, he came to the right place! We let him eat as much as he wants. As he got more energy, we discovered just how fun and affectionate he really is. We have no idea how old he is but he only seems a few years. He'll be happy to be your buddy, especially if you love good food. We guarantee you'll love him. He is great with other cats so far, but we're not sure about dogs. <br/>__________________________________________________________________<br/><br/>All animal adoptions are typically $80. For puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months, adoptions are $100. For dogs, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, heartworm testing and heartworm preventative. For cats, this includes the first series of vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and feline AIDS/leukemia testing. All cats and kittens adopted from the Germantown Animal Shelter are not allowed to be declawed. Any questions should be directed to animalshelter@germantown-tn.gov.
