Wilbur and Eddie (bonded pair)'s Story

Wilbur and Eddie bonded pair
DOB Wilbur 3/2025
Eddie 2/2025
Adoption fee $450 for the pair

Wilburs story began with uncertainty. Rescued as a tiny kitten from a precarious situation, he found his way into a loving foster home, where fate introduced him to another rescued kitten named Eddie. Although they arent littermates, the two formed an instant connection that has never wavered.

They spent months growing up together in foster care before being adopted as a pair at about eight months old. Sadly, just a few months later, they were returned to our rescue after Eddie needed double FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery. Through two surgeries, performed six weeks apart, Wilbur never left Eddies side. Their bond only grew stronger.

Wilbur is the quieter half of this incredible duo. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his sweet, gentle personality shines through. Hes a sensitive soul who finds comfort in routine, companionship, and especially in Eddie. One of the sweetest things youll ever witness is Wilburs reaction when Eddie enters the room—he immediately runs over, rubbing against him and happily checking in with his best friend. Their connection is truly something special.

Eddie, now fully recovered, is an affectionate, easygoing boy who helps Wilbur feel brave. Together they strike the perfect balance, giving each other confidence, comfort, and unconditional love.

Wilbur isnt looking for just any home—hes looking for a family that will appreciate his gentle nature, allow him time to blossom, and understand that his heart comes with his best friend. In return, youll gain two devoted companions whose love for each other is as beautiful as the love theyll share with you.

Because their bond is so extraordinary, Wilbur and Eddie must be adopted together.
Adoption Applications can be found on our website Lapcats.org and are the first step in our process.

All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are vaccinated. If they have been rescued as kittens under 4 months, they will not have a rabies vaccine. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped.

We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.
