Wilbur's Story

Wilbur is a two-year-old tabby with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and just the right amount of mischievous charm. He’s incredibly playful whether he’s romping with other cats, entertaining himself with his toys, or inviting his humans to join in, and he’s especially proud of his favorite trick of carrying toys around in his mouth and “gifting” them to you. Don’t be surprised if you find a toy mouse tucked into your bed or scattered across the room shortly after you’ve neatly put everything away. When playtime winds down, Wilbur turns into a total cuddle bug who melts in your arms when picked up, happily lets you hold him like a baby, and tolerates all the kisses you want to give. He loves perching behind you on the couch with a paw resting on your shoulder as if to remind you he’s always close by, and he’ll keep you company with his sweet little meow, especially when he knows mealtime is coming. He also enjoys spending time by the window, watching birds and the world go by, chattering softly at all the action outside. Wilbur has been friendly and social with his foster sister Wanda, resident cats, and even the neighborhood visitors beyond the window, and he would do best in a home with another playful cat who can match his energy and help him burn it off. When he occasionally gets a little too enthusiastic, he responds well to feedback and quickly adjusts. Before coming inside, Wilbur lived in a tabby colony near a rec center and soccer field, where he was the boldest of his siblings when it came to seeking out human affection and, unsurprisingly, the most food-motivated, which earned him his adorable piggy-inspired name. He’s a great eater who rarely leaves anything behind, prefers a top-open litter box, and can be a little mouthy during play or cuddle sessions, sometimes giving gentle nibbles or testing out the sturdier parts of his toys. With his playful spirit, affectionate nature, and endearing quirks, Wilbur is the perfect mix of fun and snuggly and is ready to bring a lot of joy and personality to his forever home.

——-

Submit an Adoption Application to be considered:
https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/

Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved.
