Wiggles's Story
Meet Wiggles! Wiggles is a very sweet and outgoing kitten who is looking for a very special home. Wiggles and his siblings came into our care after being diagnosed with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, commonly known as "Wobbly Kitten Syndrome". This is a condition that kittens are born with and primarily affects their fine motor function. There is a wide range of severity for this condition. While the condition does not worsen with age, it is not treatable, so it will not improve either. Typically, cats with CH can live long and happy lives, but do require a special set up in their homes and some adaptive tools to help them succeed.

Out of the three kittens, Wiggles appears to have the most severe symptoms. He is the most wobbly when walking and playing and falls more frequently than his siblings. He is great at navigating his space, using his litter box on his own and eating and drinking with special raised bowls. Wiggles is not a kitten that can safely navigate stairs on his own, so he will need a home that is either a single level or has the ability to block off any stairs/ledges so he can not access them on his own. He may enjoy the company of other social cats and dogs, but would require a slow introduction and additional management.

Even though Wiggles has the most severe symptoms and will require the most specialized care and set up in the home, he is also the most social with people. He is always looking for attention and will immediately find his way to your lap for pets, playtime and nap time. He is a very curious kitten who has really enjoyed exploring any new space. He loves playing with all toys and wrestling with his siblings.

If you are interested in learning more about Wiggles or his siblings, please stop in during our open hours, Wednesday - Sunday from 1-6pm!
