Wawa's Story

Wawa is a resilient little survivor who came to us after a very rough start. At just one month old she tested positive for a deadly virus and was scheduled for euthanasia at the county shelter. We couldn’t let that happen — we picked her up just in time.
Because she had to be isolated during treatment, Wawa spent a long time in a kennel and learned to associate humans with medications. It’s been four months since then, and she is now fully healed, cleared by our veterinarian, and has zero ongoing medical needs. What she does need is patience, love, and someone who can give her the one-on-one time she’s been missing.
Wawa has been overlooked for younger, flashier kittens, but she has so much to give. As you can see from her videos, she is a sweet, affectionate girl — she just needs time to feel safe. With 40+ cats in our care, she doesn’t get all the attention she wants, but in a home of her own, she’s going to blossom.
Miami is in one of the worst cat crises in the country.
If you think Wawa might be your girl, please fill out an application.
Her adoption fee has been partially sponsored to help her finally find her forever home.

Email us if you have any questions! kittypuppyalliance@gmail.com

Our adoption process begins with responding to inquiries within 24-48 hours and ensuring the adoption application is submitted. Once we receive the application, we check vet references and schedule a home visit. After the home visit is completed and approved, we arrange a meet and greet one on one between the potential adopter and the foster family to make sure its a good fit, either in person or virtually. If the adopter decides to proceed, they pay the adoption fee, sign the contract, and, if the pet’s vetting is complete, take the pet home the same day.
