Wanda's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wanda came to us with two babies and was fearful for her life and protective of her kittens. She was a wonderful mommy though - always tending to her kittens but allowing them to grow and venture around their condo. Slowly, Wanda began to realize that we were helping her take care of her kittens - and her. The gentle attention, warm, safe, clean place to stay and special food helped. Wanda's kittens thrived due to her good care and the volunteers' attentiveness. Wanda grew to trust and relaxed a little. Wanda's two babies have been adopted and now Wanda is ready for her forever home. With her kittens safe in their own home, Mommy can relax even more! She doesn't ask for much but she does love a snuggly bed that she can sink down into! (Oh, and she is a fan of her pate mixed with water ...she likes soup better than casserole consistency. :)) Wanda would do best in a home who wants an independent cat...not one underfoot. The quiet companion - you do your thing and I do my thing type. All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm disease. Cats/kittens are tested (and are negative) for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.

Learn more about our Adoption Information here and fill out an application here.
