Walter's Story

Walter showed up one day as an outside stray cat. He immediately fell in love with his caretaker and she recently had him neutered and vaccinated through the community cat program at Lafayette Animal Control. Due to pet limitations, his caretaker can not bring him inside. Walter wants to be a house cat. He is always following his caretaker and wanting to be petted. He loves people so much and does get underfoot to be near you. He would be best in a home with younger people who are steady on their feet. He could accidentally trip an older or someone who isn't steady on their feet.

To be considered to adopt Walter, please download our prescreening application from our website at www.acadianahumane.org/catblogger/view-our-adoptable-pets Please completely fill out the form, save the file, and attach it to an email and send it to us at ahspets@gmail.com

Because his vet care was done by Animal Control, he doesn't have an adoption fee. A donation to Acadiana Humane Society is always welcomed, but not required. If anyone wants to sponsor Walter for food and additional veterinarian care, please use either the Paypal or Square donation link on our website and note that it's for Walter.
