Wally and Willie's Story
Wally and Willie were literally pulled from the euthanasia room at the shelter just in the nick of time. They were brought in by their owner to be euthanized at 6 months old because the owner was moving. They were petrified in their cage, huddled together for comfort and warmth. As soon as they were touched, Willie sort of tensed up but Wally immediately started to purr. We knew we had to get them out of there. When we arranged for a foster home to take them, the logistics were being arranged and the phone call to the shelter brought bad new, they were not in the computer system anymore. They were on the euth list. Luckily, the right person called the right person and we were able to pull them to safety. Now they come to the adoption center on weekends so people can coo over how cute they are. If you are interested in meeting them, send us an email. We'd love for them to go as a pair but it's not necessary. They both need another cat companion though. They love people, cats, dogs and will completely submit when you're holding them like a ragdoll.

SCACR-LAPCATS are either at the Sacramento County Animal Shelter, being fostered by a volunteer or in the Adoption Center at PetSmart, 8215 Laguna Boulevard, Elk Grove. They are up-to-date on vaccines, have tested negative for FELV/FIV, are spayed or neutered, treated with a flea preventative, have been de-wormed and are micro-chipped. The $100.00 adoption fee also includes a county license for Sacramento County residents, a free office visit with a participating veterinarian and other complimentary items.
