Wally's Story

Meet Wally!
When Wally hears you coming home, he is right there at the door waiting. He ankle rubs and follows you around the house, and is quiet most of the time. Wally is easy-going, He is friendly with trusted folks and initially hesitant of strangers, but allows petting after he has decided you are safe. Wally enjoys brushing and petting from head to tail and likes to sleep with you. He often rolls over for tummy stroking. He plays with toys

Wally wants a forever home that will love him despite having Cerebellar hypoplasia, a birth defect that affects his sense of balance. Wally can not jump up and is wobbly when he walks. If he is moving too fast on slippery floors he tips over, then rights himself up and continues on. He uses a low entrance litter box, as he can’t climb easily. Other than that he is a typical, friendly cat that wants love and attention.

Like most cats, Wally is affectionate on his terms. He is active, playing by himself with toys or interactively with wand toys. Wally prefers to sit next to you and tolerates being picked up. He hasn’t met kids, but if they are respectful, kids over age nine should be fine. Wally spooks with unexpected, sudden loud noises. Wally hopes you are the person who won’t reject him because he wobbles. Wally became homeless after his family split up. He lived with another cat and if properly introduced, would probably get along with a new cat pal. Are you his new accepting family member he is waiting for?

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. For further information or to start the adoption process, leave a message at 612 202-9492 or email cattalesmn@outlook.com

If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).

* ~*~*~* Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cattalesmn *~*~*~*~*
