Wally's Story

This Little Pumpkin Has Been Through a LOT! Wally’s story started in a place no kitten should ever have to know... abandoned in a shopping bag inside a Walmart shopping cart. But this little guy didn’t let a rough beginning define him.

Today, Wally is thriving and ready to find the forever family he’s been waiting for! This little lovebug is ALL about his people and will seek out your lap, but when that's not available he goes for his favorite sunny window seat, where he can watch the birds and soak up those cozy fall sunbeams. When he’s not busy soaking up attention, Wally is chasing toys, playing with his kitty and dog friends, and generally making sure there is never a dull moment!

Wally also survived a severe illness that left him with a little wobble when he walks. Basically... he looks like he could use a rear-end alignment! But does it slow him down? Not one bit! Wally doesn’t need to be “fixed.” He just needs someone who will see what we see: a sweet, playful, incredibly resilient little boy who is purrfect exactly as he is. This fall, Wally is hoping his biggest wish comes true — a cozy home, a loving family, and a forever place to call his own. Could Wally be the missing piece in your family?

Wally is estimated to have been born February 20, 2026.

All of our cats and kittens are examined by a veterinarian, Feline Leukemia/FIV tested, vaccinated for Rabies and FVRCP, dewormed for internal parasites, checked for external parasites, current on heartworm prevention/flea control, and have been spayed/neutered. Adoption fee is $120.

If you are interested in this sweetie, please fill out the adoption application on our website http://www.homewardboundwv.org

For more information, please email us at adopt@homewardboundwv.org

Thank you!
