Wally's Story
Cheers from Wally –
Let me introduce myself. I’m a happy go lucky 18 lb chill, 6 year old Grey Tabby cat. I was on the streets of Jersey City around a crazy high-rise construction site for a long time. My girlfriend and our six kittens were trapped and adopted to good homes quite a while ago and I always wondered if I would ever be as lucky as they were.

Earlier this year I was finally caught too … The vet said I was all good and to just relax and start getting used to my new indoor environment. It took me some time to get used to being around humans and even made a couple friends with other cats in their home. All seemed to be good and then “bam”, I fell out of a window and was back out in the streets. Oh no, not back out there again!

I found a place near the train tracks underneath a broken down car. After exactly 30 days, a bunch of friendly neighborhood people caught me again … who knew there were so many people looking out for me? I am back with my foster parents and my cat friends and LOVE being a house cat now!

I’m at the point where I cuddle up and love when my foster mom gives me head rubs and scratches, but require a bit more patience until I fully blossom. See pictures of me with my foster mom, she says it’s all going to be ok and that someone out there will give me some love and patience just like her. I am FIV positive, but am a calm, humble boy who is really close to my feline foster siblings who are completely safe with me. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and just want to hang out with you and be a companion cat to your other feline family members.

If you are an experienced adopter, have another friendly cat I can hang out with, and can give me some patience and space to get comfortable in your home, I would love to meet you!!

No dogs or kids please!

Love,
Wally
