He was skinny and his coat was very rough and dirty. A child found him and wanted to try to help the small kitten, but the adults were going to take the kitten to animal control.<br/></strong><br><br><br/><br/><br/>The child asked a neighbor for help and she was able to take care of the kitten until she could find space in a rescue group.<br/>We named him "Walker" because he was out alone walking the streets - poor little guy!<br/></strong><br><br><br/><br/>At first he was very scared and skittish. He did not like to be approached from the front to pet him - he would crouch down and cringe like he was going to be hit on the head.<br/>After some patience and a little time, he has learned to trust and that hands aren't going to hit him. He's a total lap cat now, and loves to sit on your lap and purr!<br/></strong><br><br><br/><br/><br/>Walker has a beautiful, sleek and shiny black coat. His fur is shorter but is very soft. He has a somewhat exotic look to him - maybe an oriental short hair breed mixed in?<br/>He has come such a long way since being in foster care. He deserves a great, new permanent home.</strong><br><br><br/><br/>Walker is playful, approximately 12 weeks old, has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and flea treated. He has also been tested as negative for Feline Leukemia virus.
