Waddles's Story

Waddles is a 1-year-old male black cat with a heart as big as his personality. He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects his balance and coordination, but it doesn’t slow down his ability to love. Waddles is a total lovebug who adores attention and affection, and he happily shares his gentle nature with everyone he meets—including other pets.

Because of his special needs, Waddles would do best in a one-story home with carpeting to help him get around comfortably. He will need easy access to a litter box wherever he spends his time, and his ideal adopter would work from home or be around often to monitor him throughout the day. With the right setup, Waddles thrives and enjoys a safe, happy routine.

Waddles has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $65. If you’re looking for a uniquely special companion who will reward you with endless affection, Waddles may be your perfect match. For more information about Waddles or any of our other adoptable pets, please contact Cascades Humane Society.

Cascades Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Adoption Process Please fill out an adoption application. It is linked here on our Petfinder profile or you can find it listed on our website. This application saves you time when you arrive, it does not hold an animal for you. Please feel free to not wait for us to call you regarding your application, as we have limited staff and we get extremely busy. We strongly encourage you to come directly to CHS (or one of the local pet stores that houses cats for us) to meet the animal you are interested in. We are a first-come-first-serve facility. The adoption process will take approximately 30 minutes. In addition to a new best friend, you will receive: - A pet that has already been spayed/neutered and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Your pet will have been heartworm tested (for dogs) and feline leukemia and FIV tested (for cats). - Cats and dogs will be microchipped. - A pet who has been de-wormed and treated for fleas and ticks - A free wellness check-up at participating veterinarians, to be used within 30 business days of the adoption -One month of free pet insurance -A free dog collar -A free ID tag that will help reunite you with your new pet, if it ever becomes lost -What Cascades Humane Society needs from you: Bring in your current pets’ vaccine records or your veterinarian’s phone number to verify your pets are up-to-date on vaccines. Verify that your landlord allows you to have pets at the rented property. Placing a Hold on an Animal If, after you have met a pet, you are unsure if you would like to adopt them or not, you may place a hold on that pet. In order to hold an animal, CHS will collect a $25.00 deposit that will hold an animal until 5:30 p.m. the next business day. If it is a Saturday, the hold will be until the following Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. When a deposit is used to hold an animal, the hold fee will be deducted from the adoption fee. The deposit is non-refundable nor is it transferable to other animals.
