When 12-week-old Vivi arrived with her sisters, they were truly feral kittens who had little trust in people and preferred to keep their distance. Through patience, consistency, and lots of love from their foster family, these girls have blossomed into playful, curious, and affectionate kittens who are now ready to find forever homes of their own.<br/><br/>Through routine testing, it was discovered that Vivi was FIV+ (similar to HIV in humans). Her sisters initially tested positive as well but cleared the antibodies within a couple of months. It is possible that in 3-6 months Vivi could finally test negative, but at this time we have to assume she is positive. Most cats live totally normal lives with FIV. FIV kitties can live along side other cats just fine as FIV is typically passed from mother to babies or through deep bite wounds that don't typically occur with friendly cats living indoors.
