Vivi's Story

Meet Vivi!! Vivi is a sweet 3 year old cat who was saved from the euthanasia list due to needing a dental surgery. She is a sweet, quiet girl who loves pets and other feline friends. Vivi is shy at first, but quickly opens up to pets and cuddles! She likes a good napping spot and will often cuddle up with a friend if someone is around. She has so much love to give and is ready for her second chance at life! Vivi is FIV+. FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency virus and it is comparable to an autoimmune disease in humans. It is not contagious to humans or dogs and is only contagious to cats via deep bite wounds and blood transmission (which is not a concern with Vivi as she is not aggressive). FIV cats live just as long as "regular cats"! Due to FIV, many people overlook cats like Vivi, can you give her a chance? Tubby Tabby Rescue's Adoption Policy

All potential adopters are required to fill out an adoption application and be screened prior to adopting a cat from Tubby Tabby. The rescue has the right to refuse adoption any time during the process if warranted. We are a foster-based animal rescue, which means we do not operate out of a traditional shelter or kennel facility. Instead, all of our cats live in private homes with loving foster families until they are adopted. This approach allows our animals to receive personalized care in a home environment, helping them adjust better and show their true personalities. Because we are not a physical shelter, we do not have a central location where all of our animals can be visited. Each foster home has its own schedule and responsibilities, and visits must be arranged in advance to respect their time and home space.
