Violin (Fee Sponsored)'s Story

Violin is about 4 years old and sports a stunning tortoiseshell coat that perfectly matches her bold personality.

Violin loves attention—especially pets. All visitors should be aware that petting her is mandatory. No exceptions. She’s more than happy to sleep at the end of the bed so she can collect her morning pets the moment her humans wake up.

She could coexist with another cat in the home, but kittens are a hard no. In Violin’s professional opinion, any furball under four pounds is deeply annoying and deserving of nothing but contempt. Don’t even think about trying to sneak a kitten past her—her foster family can confirm that Violin has an impressive internal “cat age radar” and knows exactly when another cat meets her four-pound requirement.

Violin believes in positive reinforcement for humans. When her name is called, she rewards her people by rolling onto her back and placing a paw dramatically over her face. It’s impossible not to fall in love.

Interested in learning more or adopting Violin? Fill out a no-obligation cat adoption application, and the humans who work for her (also known as HSLC volunteers) will take it from there. Thanks to a generous sponsor, Violin’s adoption fee is waived! She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Humane Society of Loudoun County's Adoption Policy
We want to make sure each adoption is successful and that each animal is adopted into a family that is the right fit for everyone. All our animals are fully vetted and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For our adoption process we will arrange a meet and greet between potential adopters and the animal after an application is submitted. We ask for 2 personal references, check to make sure current animals are vaccinated then we schedule a virtual interview, which is an interview to discuss how to intergrate the new arrival into the household, food, equipment, etc. We do not have many requirements except that all cats/kittens be kept Indoors only, that they not be declawed, and that if any adoption does not work out for any reason, no matter how long it has been, that the animal be returned to us. Our adoption fee for cats and kittens is $150. Our dog and puppy adoption fee is $300. Check out our upcoming events here: http://www.humaneloudoun.org/events1.aspx
