Thoreo Rescues's Adoption Policy
If your application is approved, I will send you an email about the next steps below. I will host 30 minute Google Meets call with you and myself; this will be a virtual home visit to ensure windows are screened, there are no plants or only pet friendly plants, and that your home looks to be a safe space for the pet. If you pass your home check, we will immediately schedule another 30 minute call for an e-meet and greet with you and the cat. Or, if approved on the spot, we can add on another 30 minutes to call for the meeting with the cat. If approved to adopt the cat, you will be asked to pick a date within seven days of approval to pick up the cat from the holding space. You will sign an adoption contract that is to be thoroughly read and understood and will pay the fee via Zelle or Venmo (will share details then) prior to pick-up. You may not pick up the cat until this is completed.
