Vincent & Cecil *Bonded-Read Bio*'s Story
At Katie's Place, every cat is cherished and adored, but two feline friends hold a particularly dear spot in the hearts of our volunteers.

Vincent (long hair) and Cecil (short hair) are around 2 years old and were found as strays at an industrial site. From the moment they arrived, it was evident how closely bonded they were. They are inseparable, drawing strength and comfort from each other's presence. Vincent and Cecil were initially extremely shy, with Vincent being the braver of the two. With patience and lots of love from our volunteers, Vincent became quite an affectionate bug and happily accepted pets and tummy rubs. Cecil was more cautious but could easily be won over for pets with a tasty churro. They were adopted into a loving home 8 months ago, but unfortunately, struggled to adjust. Cecil began having accidents outside the litter box, which was highly unusual for him. Despite the family's efforts to help them overcome their shyness, it became clear that this home was not the right fit for Vincent and Cecil. They are now back with us at the shelter, feeling quite shell-shocked and confused.

We know Vincent and Cecil have incredible potential to become loyal and loving companions. We have witnessed their incredible capacity for love once they have established a connection with you! They will need a patient and cat-savvy adult-only home, with a person or family who has experience working with shy cats and truly appreciates their unique qualities. While these boys will need time and space to adjust to their new home, they also need someone willing to work with them as they navigate their journey towards healing, rebuilding trust, and rediscovering love. Vincent and Cecil enjoy the company of other cats, are in good health, and are very good about using their litter boxes.
