Vern's Story

Just look at this gorgeous guy: his name is VERN and he's a big cat with a huge heart, plus he still has some kitten in him also. VERN used to live outside and he took care

of his little colony. The lovely lady who cared for the colony sadly passed away, so her husband has been doing his best to care for the cats. Our group was doing TNR on the colony, when we met VERN, and because his caregiver struggles to care for the so many cats, and because VERN is A SPECIAL CAT, we kept him to find him a home. He seems happy to be inside and would make a wonderful companion. VERN gets along okay with other cats, but would also be happy as an only cat, so long as he had some loving adopters. He's healthy and ready to go!

. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
