Vera's Story
Vera is available for adoption! She showed up at a colony in Groton, and the caregiver noticed she was approachable, and had probably been in someone's home at some point. She's a little on the shy side, but really likes having her head touched, and warms up to people quickly. She has an adorable corkscrew tail and amazing tiger stripes. We think she is about 5 years old.

Vera has tested positive for FIV. Cats with FIV can live average life spans, but are best kept as only cats or with other positive cats.

Here is a helpful article about FIV:

https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv

This beauty has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/Felv, and is up to date on vaccines. Adoption fee is $150.

If you are interested, please call (860) 559-9312.
