Velma's Story
Miss Velma, like her sisters, can be a bit shy around people. But with her sisters she’s just as rowdy as the rest. She’s the smart and protective one. Her four other sisters are Elizabeth, Daphne, Jane, and Josephine. Her mother is Miss Charlotte. Her and Daphne are all that’s left of their litter. Velma was born sometime in late March/early April 2024.

Velma and her sister Daphne have been the more temperamental ones of their litter. She is slow to adjusting and needs a lot of time in order to do that. When she’s overwhelmed she tends to get hissy and anxious. The first time we separated her from her litter (for space and she has since been reunited with Daphne), she acted very anxious and did not want to be messed with for several days. But the moment she grows comfortable she becomes more chill. When she’s confident she will be playful and will lounge around.

Her sister Daphne, who has been adopted and returned twice, had trouble using the litter box when in a new home. Since Velma has never been adopted before it is unclear if she would have the same problem. Her and her sister are in a room with 3 other cats that are not part of their litter. So they are cat friendly, but it will take some time for them to warm up to new faces.
