Having been through life’s ups and downs together, they find comfort and confidence in each other’s presence and are looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side.<br/>Velma may take a little time to let her personality shine, but once she feels safe, her strong and unique character comes through. She loves to perch up high where she can observe her surroundings and is especially fond of soft, fluffy beds. Velma has a preference for wet food, though she’ll happily snack on some dry kibble as well.<br/>Shaggy is a gentle, sensitive boy with a sweet soul. He can be a bit nervous in new environments and feels most secure in cozy, covered spaces—you’ll often find him tucked under chairs or nestled in enclosed hideaways.<br/>Both Velma and Shaggy prefer affection on their own terms and are not fans of being held. With patience and understanding, they will thrive in a calm, loving home.<br/>They are currently enjoying Hill’s Science Diet Kitten Dry Food and are ready to start their next chapter together with a family who will appreciate their special bond and give them the time they need to feel at home.<br/>Velma and Shaggy were born approximately October 1, 2025, and their combined adoption fee is $250, which includes $20 each for microchips. They are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus.<br/><br/>You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. For more information, or to confirm whether a particular cat or kitten will be present that weekend, please email kittycityks@aol.com. Kitty City Kansas Rescue is a volunteer, non-profit organization.
