Meet Velcro, a beautiful 11⁄2-year-old gray sweetheart who lives up to her name in the most endearing way. 🤍🐾 She came in with Aaron after their disabled owner could no longer care for them, and she's been adjusting to this big change the only way she knows how--by holding on tight. Velcro is a gentle, scared girl who clings to anything (or anyone) she can reach, not out of aggression, but out of fear and a deep need for comfort. Once she feels safe, her soft, affectionate nature begins to shine through. She just wants someone patient, kind, and willing to give her the reassurance she's been missing. ADOPTING AN ANIMAL Adopting a shelter animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do. The dog or cat will pay you back with unlimited unconditional love and will provide many hours of devoted companionship. Studies also prove that owning an animal has many health benefits such as soothing stress and lowering blood pressure. Just keep in mind that taking an animal into your home is a commitment for the lifetime of that animal. A dog can live up to 16 years or more; a cat even longer. You will need to think about that animal's veterinary care, feeding, exercise, and general well being. To adopt from our shelter, you must fill out an application with references and veterinarian. In some instances, you may be asked to fill out a pre-adoption form. Upon approval, you may adopt. We do not hold animals. Adoptions are on a first come basis. We reserve the right to refuse.
