She joined our sister rescue, BC Sphynx Rescue earlier this month & this gorgeous lady is looking for the perfect retirement home to spend her golden years.<br/><br/><br/>Veda arrived to the BC Sphynx Rescue family from Vancouver Island at the beginning of September and she has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone she meets. Veda is a very chatty gal who loves nothing more than to cuddle up with her people and can often be found riding on visitor's shoulders in true Sphynx fashion. She has the cutest smile and a true heart of gold! Miss Veda is looking for a nice quiet household where she can be the only pet in the home. Being a senior gal busy activities & other pets in the home do seem to cause some stress so we want her to find a home where she is the center of attention. <br/><br/><br/>Shortly after arriving we discovered that Veda does have a fractured upper canine tooth. Once we received her previous medical records we saw it has been like this for quite some time. Veda did have a dental with extractions last year but her previous veterinarian determined it did not need to be removed at that time. We also had Veda examined by one of our veterinarians to ensure her tooth was still ok. As it is was not painful, looks ok otherwise, and has been fractured for several years, our vet also agrees Veda gets to hold onto that tooth for now. We had blood work repeated as well, as she is a senior gal, to make sure her liver and kidneys are in tip top shape and she was given the thumbs up.<br/><br/><br/>In addition to the medical care she received for her tooth Veda is microchipped, has been dewormed, received a dose of flea medication, and had her FVRCP vaccine boosted. Veda's adoption fee is $500. * Please note our adoptions are not on a first come first serve basis - all applications are closely reviewed to ensure our cats are being placed in the best possible home for their specific needs.
