Meet Valerie! This petite little lady is affectionate, playful, and has come such a long way since arriving in our care. When Valerie first came to us, she wasn't very social with people, but she has really warmed up to life indoors and discovered that humans can be pretty great!<br/><br/>Valerie gets along well with other cats and loves attention and affection from her people. She has a playful side too and has settled beautifully into the comforts of indoor life.<br/><br/>We think Valerie could be happy as an indoor cat or could potentially do well in an indoor/outdoor home with appropriate shelter and a safe setup. She's come a long way from the unsure girl who first arrived, and now she's ready to find a family and a place to call her own.

Foothills Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Interested in adopting? We want to make it easy and fun to bring home a new best friend! When you choose an animal you’d like to make part of your family, please fill out an adoption application online at www.foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt Once you do this, our friendly adoption coordinator will spend time reviewing your application to ensure the pet you’ve chosen will be a great fit with your home and lifestyle. Then, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to come meet the animal. Your new pet’s adoption fee will be based primarily on age and species. Our adoption fees are also much less than those at other shelters, even though they are fully vetted, trained and ready to go home. Our adoptions fees are as follows: Dogs age 6 months and older are $80 Puppies under 6 months are $250-$450 Cats age 6 months and older are $30 Kittens under 6 months are $50 (second one FREE) We often hold special promotions when these fees are lowered, waived or adopters ‘name their own fee’ for adoptions. Your adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter surgery, testing, vaccinations, and microchipping. Your new pet has received all the love, attention, medications, and veterinary care they need to join their new family!
