Upkin (hospice kitty)'s Story
Upkin has had a hard short life so far and sadly her life expectancy isn't long - That is why we are trying to find her an awesome place where she can be happy for the short life she is given.

Upkin came to Cat Tales from the Philadelphia ACCT Time-Stamped list. She had a badly injured ear that required stitches, laser treatments and TLC. Once her ear was all better, her foster noticed that she really wasn't gaining weight and didn't have the energy that a normal kitten at around 8 months would have. After some testing, it was discovered that she had a congenital Tricuspid valve dysplasia. This cannot be repaired or managed for a long life. She is happy and comfortable and there are some minor treatments that can be done to help her stay that way when that time comes, but her cardiologist said she probably would only live until about 2 years of age. We want her to live a glorious life until her discomfort becomes an issue and are looking for that special home that will give her that.

Upkin is quiet and low energy, but she still does like to gently play. She loves to be pet and especially have her head and neck pet. She gets along with the other kitties in the foster room with her.

If you think you may be interested in providing a hospice foster or adoptive home and would like more information, please reach out to us at info@cattalesinc.org. You can also fill out an adoption application at www.cattalesinc.org
