Meet Uno - The One and Only!<br/><br/>Uno is young—likely under a year old—and bursting with energy and curiosity. Uno is incredibly playful and a little bit mischievous; he loves chewing up cardboard boxes, splashing around in sinks and showers, and keeping everyone entertained with his silly antics. He’s also a total lovebug who follows you from room to room, greets you at the door, and wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. Uno is confident, social, and affectionate—what we lovingly call a “dog-cat.” He adores meal times, toys, cozy cat beds, and watching the world go by from his cat tower. <br/><br/>Uno was our very first rescue of 2025—hence the name—found on a freezing cold New Year’s Day, crying for food in someone’s yard. A kind neighbor reached out to BTCR, and we scooped him up right away. He was in rough shape, covered in wounds and bite marks, and clearly not built for street life. Thankfully, Uno has made a full recovery and is thriving in foster care. <br/><br/>While he doesn’t get along with other cats (he’s still healing from whatever rough encounters he had on the street), he has plenty of love to give as a one-and-only companion. They are also litter-box reliable and loving companions.<br/><br/>To adopt, we require potential adopters to complete an application, provide basic references, and allow a video home tour to ensure a safe environment. An adoption fee is also required. We offer a two-week trial period to ensure the cat(s) is a good fit; if it doesn’t work out, we’ll retrieve the cat(s) and refund the adoption fee. We’re here to help with tips for introducing your new feline friend to other pets if needed.
