Umu

Umu is a very sweet and gentle girl, estimated to be between 2-3 years old. She started her life as a stray, and has been cared for in a feral colony for the past year. She was brought indoors about six weeks ago as it was determined that she was a”friendly”. She gets along great with the other cats in the house and the senior dog as well. She will cuddle up right next to the dog on the couch, purring Nonstop.<br/>Umu can be a bit shy and easily spooked at first, but will open up with time. She has a very gentle demeanor and is easy-going. She does not require constant play, but enjoys interactive plays sessions when her human initiates. She loves to be pet, loves scratches and especially belly rubs. <br/><br/>Umu would do best in a quiet, calm household with patient people. She is good with cat-savvy, older children, other calm cats, and laid-back dogs. Umu does not like feeling trapped or confined so she would do wonderful with some safe outdoor access like a catio or cat-proof backyard. She currently prefers going to the bathroom outdoors, but she has also used a litter box perfectly.<br/><br/>Umu was spayed through the TNR program so her ear is tipped. She is up-to-date on her vaccines and had a recent vet visit, Confirming she’s negative for parasites or any transmissible diseases… she’s perfectly healthy!<br/><br/>Umu would make a loving, low maintenance companion in a peaceful home.
